The SEWBReC website is due to be overhauled in the next couple of days. Hopefully this transfer will not affect the GMRG pages at all, but I hope that any disruption will be kept to a minimum.

A meeting at Kenfig Reserve Centre this morning was rather productive, in that resting in the doorway was what appears to be Agonopterix purpurea. This would be the second VC41 record, and the first since 1864.

With a minimum of 1.90 degrees, I was surprised to get anything in the garden trap. I did, and it was a lonely Blair's Shoulder-knot.

A Harlequin Ladybird just flew in through our office window in Penarth. I've been looking out for them this year around Glamorgan without success - clearly I just needed to wait for the ladybird to come to me! The markings almost exactly match the specimen in Dave Slade's photo from Bute Park (7th September). Also a few Red Admirals on ivy blossom in Penarth this week. George Tordoff
